I probably haven’t mentioned Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW) since last year, but I’ve had quite a bit of involvement this year. I’ve gone outside of my comfort zone and tried a bunch of new coding stuff with ExpressionEngine… and I am proud to unveil the new Book Blogger Appreciation Week website! I would also like to let you know that I illustrated all the graphics, built the website, customized the feeds, generated the auto-twittering from the blog, etc. As you can probably tell, I am quite proud of the on-going support I’m providing Amy with, and hopefully the BBAW blog of her dreams!
To get the fun rolling while Nominations are going on, Amy created a BBAW Meme:
If you were a part of BBAW last year, please answer these simple questions on your blog and drop your link into Mister Linky so that others can learn all about BBAW! Feel free to tag other bloggers to play along!
1) What was the highlight (something that happened, a post, an activity, etc.) of BBAW for you last year?
I volunteered to make the award badges, which you will find littered around book blogs all over the blogosphere. Also, post-BBAW, Trish asked me to make a “Queen of Book Blogging” graphic for Amy, the amazing organizer of BBAW.
2) What is one new blog you discovered during BBAW last year?
Ironically, I discovered My Friend Amy and Savvy Verse & Wit (Serena), both of whom I’ve developed friendships and blogging/graphic relationships with. When I did my BBAW catch-up post after the inaugural BBAW, I listed a number of blogs I already read and ones that were new to me.
3) What tips would you share to help others get the most out of their BBAW experience?
Definitely sign up for those awesome RSS feeds (yes, I’m tooting my own horn) because this way you’ll get all of the updates straight to you (via whatever reader you prefer). I find with BBAW there is always so much going on — hundreds of contests, discussions, bloggers, and giveaways galore — and the RSS feeds are a fantastic way to keep up!
Don’t worry, if you didn’t participate last year, there are some questions over on the BBAW Meme post for new participants.

Yes you have done an amazing job Monica!!!! Thank you for all your hard work.
I agree about subscribing to the feeds…even with different little blogs it’s going to be overwhelming!!!

Books. I need to do a better job of balancing books and yarn, but I can knit and talk to the Knight, whereas I get grumpy when he tries to talk while I’m reading!

Thank you for this post! I had seen the meme and thought it was for those who participated last year so moved on. Your post here told me there were questions for newbies too, so I went back and took a closer look.
Thanks! I was planning on a BBAW post tomorrow morning anyway, and now I have some additions to it! :)
